Strategic Influence for Capable People

I have spent over two decades working with senior professionals on the practical realities of power, influence, and organisational politics.

Not as theory. From inside the organisations, decisions, and careers where these dynamics actually play out.

The people I work with are capable and experienced. They have built real track records. But somewhere along the way the environment shifted beneath them, and the approaches that once worked are no longer delivering what they should.

The problem is rarely what it appears to be. It almost always sits in how someone is positioned relative to their environment, how they are reading and responding to what is happening, or what they expect from the people and systems around them.

Twenty years of research, writing, and coaching across financial services, technology, professional services, and major institutions, including Goldman Sachs, Citi, PwC, Amazon, and Oracle. Presented at London Business School, Wharton, and Warwick Business School. Author of five books including 21 Dirty Tricks at Work, Political Dilemmas at Work, and Influential Leadership.

Ethical Strategic Influence

The practical process, first developed in 2008, that is currently helping serious professionals in organisations like GSK, Zurich, and the NHS.
